Fore Golf Foundation

The Fore Organized Golf (FOG) for Philanthropy is led by a lady visionary, a golf enthusiast who is passionate in uplifting the lives of others through philanthropy and volunteerism. Her enjoyment and devotion to the game led her to transform golf as a prestigious sport into a more significant vehicle for Golf Education, Golf Philanthropy, Leadership Development, and Community Service. FOG enters into partnerships with non-profit charitable institutions to raise funds to support humanitarian programs and to advocate for individual and community involvement on resolving social issues. FOG organizes golf tournaments and other golf events to generate resources based on the highest ethical standards and effective golf fund raising strategies.

The idea of FOG started in 1998 in the Philippines with the organization of a charity golf tour for the Rotary Club of Green Hills, Philippines and several vacation golf tours for Filipino-American golfers from New York, USA. Ms. Femie Villaflores-Cupit, an active member of the Rotary Club of Green Hills and The Philippine Junior Golf Club together with her husband, Jim, an American Architect based in the Philippines. Both were avid golfers and practically raised their children, Christian and John, at the greens with an iron and golf ball in their hands. When Jim and his family came to live in San Diego, in 2001, Femie, rapidly assimilated herself in the community. With her knowledge and experience, Femie became an active member of the golf-playing community and soon started to organize golf events for the Filipino American Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of San Diego Paradise Valley, Kiwanis Club and a number of corporations and non-profit organizations. A woman with a heart for the less fortunate and with a mind filled with entrepreneurial ideas.

Realizing the need for more women to join her and have fun at the golf course, Femie founded and decided to organize the “Ladies on Course Golf Club of San Diego” in March 2011, as a project of FOGS. She had “LOC” licensed under the operation of Southern California Golf Association. The main purpose of this Club is to encourage and motivate women to play golf by highlighting the business, social, and health/fitness benefits of the game.

Another successful fundraising for the Humanimal Outreach Foundation

As an initial step, founder Femie Villaflores-Cupit offered the “Get Golf Ready” project with the help of an LPGA professional to teach golf fundamentals to ladies in a welcoming and fun environment thereby removing the intimidation that normally confronts beginners in the game. Learning and playing with ladies of similar interests and backgrounds and with a variety of creative event formats, the “Ladies on Course” program makes it easy for all lady golfers to embrace the golf lifestyle.

To extend its vision to a wider audience, FOG plans to publish their unique Ladies on Course Sports News Bulletin ®, a monthly publication dedicated to promoting the golf lifestyle to local golfers in San Diego County, especially to men and women from diverse cultural background.

The News Bulletin will feature articles and covers on fashion, health and fitness, events, food, travel & leisure, and all other things that constitute an elegant, confident and successful golf lifestyle.

Ladies on Course Sports News Bulletin ® as an advertiser will help us continue to support varied causes such as the women victims of domestic violence and human trafficking in the county of San Diego and beyond.

Women’s Golf Club Partners with Non-Profit for Survivors of Human Trafficking for Charity Golf Outing

DATE: September 2018

Ladies on Course Golf Club of San Diego (“Ladies on Course”) will host its
seventh annual Opal Open charity golf outing on September 15, 2018 at 8 a.m. to benefit Refuge for Women, a local non-profit organization providing programs for survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The golf outing will be held at The Vineyard Golf Course in Escondido, California.

For over six years, Ladies on Course has hosted charity golf tournaments with
more than 80 guests to benefit local non-profit organizations that provide services in San Diego for women in need. Ladies on Course’s mission is to bring women of diverse backgrounds together, not only to golf in a casual and non-competitive environment, but to share their united goals to give back to the community. In the past, Ladies on Course has contributed a portion of the golf tournament’s proceeds to Komen San Diego, Bone Marrow Foundation, American Cancer Society, and Live Life Shredded.

Ladies on Course is proud to host this tournament for the seventh year. It is
important to our members to raise awareness and educate women about organizations like Refuge for Women, who provide safe housing, counseling, life and work skills development,” said Juliet Decadiz, President of Ladies on Course Golf Club of San Diego.

Refuge for Women is a non-profit organization that provides specialized long term care for women who have escaped human trafficking or sexual exploitation.

“We have chosen Refuge for Women as the charity that we want to sponsor for our Opal Open charity golf outing this year, because human trafficking affects our community. We don’t often talk about it publicly, but need to,” said Femie Cupit, founder of Fore Golf Foundation.

The Opal Open charity golf outing will start at 8 a.m. A golfer’s registration
package is $100.00 and includes greens fees, golf cart, continental breakfast, gift bag, opportunity drawings, and barbeque lunch reception. There are also sponsorship opportunities.
